SPRINGFIELD, MO — Jack Dempsey of Elmer, N.J., a Multiple Line General Agent (MLGA) with American National, and Ron Townsend of Cordova, Tenn., an American National agent, were recently recognized for their lifetime sales and management achievements with induction into American National’s Multiple Line Hall of Fame.
Dempsey and Townsend have been among Multiple Line’s leading field associates for more than three decades. Their careers have been marked by outstanding service and sustained sales excellence.
Dempsey began with Farm Family as an agent on August 27, 1984, becoming an MLGA on April 1, 2000. In a career filled with years of extraordinary accomplishment – he has qualified for 28 Conferences, 16 times as a Gathering of Eagles qualifier, and has earned President’s Club honors 23 times – his success as a life insurance professional stands out. He is a Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Life Member and a 20-year MDRT qualifier.
Dempsey’s strong multiline client approach is evidenced by his seven P&C Profitability Awards, a MLGA Ag & Commercial Team award honor on the Gold Level and two MLGA of the Year - Gold recognitions. In addition, he has been honored five times as MLGA of the Year on the Silver Level.
For many years, Farm Family’s Distinguished Sales Award marked the pinnacle of success as a Farm Family Multiple Line agent – Dempsey is a five-time DSA recipient. In addition, he won the Farm Family’s Distinguished Service Award in 2007, an award that was based on a vote by his fellow Farm Family field associates. Dempsey’s sales, management and leadership excellence were recognized with his induction into the Farm Family Agent Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Farm Family General Agent Hall of Fame in 2013.
Townsend’s Multiple Line career has been marked by consistent excellence in both life insurance and personal lines sales, including 12 President’s Club and nine Chieftain Club awards, as well as receiving Summit Club recognition four times. He has qualified for 25 conferences, earning Gathering of Eagles recognition 13 times.
Townsend’s credentials as a multiline sales master are evident in his 14 years qualifying as a Quality Master, six Quality Agent – ANPAC Eagle awards, four ANPAC Leader awards, and his five-time recognition as an ANPAC Premier Agent. He has also been honored as Regional Leading New Agent (1984), an Agent of the Year winner, an Agent of the Year – Silver Level recipient, a P&C Achievement Award (Agent) honoree on the Silver Level, and was twice named a President’s Council Agent. Additionally, he was a 2014 MDRT Qualifying Member.
