Fitch Ratings Affirms American National’s ‘A’ Rating

HOUSTON, TX — Fitch Ratings affirmed the ‘A’ Insurer Financial Strength (IFS) ratings for American National Insurance Company and American National Life Insurance Company of New York (collectively American National). Additionally, Fitch maintained the ‘BBB+’ Long-Term Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) for American National Group Inc. with a stable rating outlook. This rating encompasses the company’s debt repayment ability and its outstanding debt instruments, including senior unsecured notes (BBB) and series A and B preferred shares (BB+).
